Just in time for the winter holidays! This is the perfect activity to get your kids up and moving while practicing their music notation skills. Students will search for 8 music notation cards that you have placed around your classroom, each containing a line from everyone’s favorite winter song, Jingle Bells! Once your students have copied all 8 lines on to their notation sheet, they can use their manuscript to play Jingle Bells on their recorder or barred instruments.
In addition to the notation activity, I have included an additional worksheet called Jingle Bells: Search the Song. Students will use their manuscript or the Jingle Bell song sheet included in this download to answer 15 questions about the song’s note names, time signature, key signature, number of measures, and line repetition.
