“Rocking Horse”, a great piano piece for the beginning pianist, concentrates on getting a smooth back and forth movement in the left hand. It gives the sense of the old fashioned rocking horses. I have had students draw a picture of a rocking horse or their favorite rocking horse. It is just fun to envision art and music together and having the student use their creative thinking skills.It is a nice piece for a recital.
