The NoteRunner Online Piano Competition is a contest where participants of all ages (including teachers!) have the opportunity to learn fresh new music by up and coming artists and receive feedback from talented musicians.  Participants are required to learn a song from the song list and submit a video performance to the NoteRunner YouTube channel. Winners earn a cash reward, a gift voucher to NoteRunner.com or a consultation with accomplished musicians.

 To Enter (registration deadline is May 15th):

1. Click to here to register.  A guardian needs to register on behalf of minors under the age of 18. You must register separately for each entry. Entry fee is $5.  
2. Learn a song from the song list.  More than one song may be entered. Music is available to purchase on www.NoteRunner.com.
3. Submit a video recording of your performance by August 15, 2015 to the NoteRunner YouTube channel by emailing your video to 42gnwtccqj62@m.youtube.com. Include participant name and song title in the subject line. File size cannot exceed 25 MB. If the file is larger, you can compress it using Windows Movie Maker or other application. If you correctly submit your video you will receive a confirmation email from YouTube.

*Great videos can be taken with your phone.  Find the right angle and go for it! *If your file is too large, you may also upload your video directly to YouTube and send your YouTube link to Support@NoteRunner.com.  We will add your video to the NoteRunner channel for you.  File size cannot exceed 600 MB when submitting directly to YouTube.  Please include participant name and song title in the subject line.  For instructions on uploading videos to YouTube go to https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/57407?hl=en. • The competition closes August 15, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. MST.

• Entrants or guardians must register on www.NoteRunner.com.

• 2 winners per level will be chosen based on technique, accuracy, musicianship, interpretation, level of difficulty and overall performance. Contestants are not judged on recording quality. However, the sound needs to be clear enough for the judges to easily hear the performance. The NoteRunner judges reserve the right to make the final decision.

• Participants may submit more than one entry.

• Upon registration on behalf of a minor, guardians consent to allow NoteRunner use of contest submissions including name, video, song and other related information of the minor on the Internet.

• Void where prohibited

• Contestants who post inappropriate material or who engage in defamatory actions will be disqualified from the competition and their video will be removed.

Categories and Prizes Participants can enter the contest in one of four categories: Beginner, intermediate, advanced and free choice.  Advanced:

• 1^st prize- $100 plus a $20 NoteRunner voucher

• Runner up - $20 NoteRunner voucher

Intermediate:

• 1^st prize- $75 plus a $10 NoteRunner voucher

• Runner up - $15 NoteRunner voucher 

Beginner:

• 1^st place- $50 plus a $5 NoteRunner voucher

• Runner up - $10 NoteRunner voucher 

Free Choice:

• 1^st prize- $50 plus a $10 NoteRunner voucher

• Runner up –$10 NoteRunner voucher 

BONUS prize:

• $50 for the most “likes“ and YouTube hits. Recruit your friends to “like” your performance or watch you on YouTube!

• Honorable mentions will receive a $5.00 NoteRunner  voucher

Privacy By submitting your video to NoteRunner, you agree to give us permission to display your video on the NoteRunner YouTube channel and to share it as we see fit. You will be credited accordingly. Any personal information you give to us will be used by NoteRunner only. We will only use the information you provide to deliver the services you have requested, or for our lawful, disclosed purposes. We will not make your personal details available outside our organization without your consent, unless obliged by law. Notification of Winners Winners will be notified by email within a few weeks of the contest end date.  Cash prize will be awarded by a mailed check or PayPal payment.  NoteRunner merchandise earned will be sent by email after selection.
